Orangatang 4 President Review.

70mm Orangatang 4President Longboard Wheels

Description

Orangatang 4 President longboard skateboard wheels are definitely a longboarders and racers choice of wheel. The Orangatang line of wheels are made of hi-grade urethane making it rebound more effectively and be more predictable in performance. You maintain good speed with these wheels after a few pushes on flat surface. After plenty of testing we find that the Orangatang 4 President longboard skateboard wheel is very predictable in to turns and at high speed. You can roll over cracks with confidence. With the flat lip design you can gain maximum control and gain confidence into tight cornering. Try the Oranatang 4 Presidents with and drop through deck for amazing performance. Now the Orangatang line is gaining popularity around college campuses. You will definitely catch a glipse of some orange and purple streaks on the sidewalks.

Orangatang's Description

Offset design with subtle lip characteristics for increased grip, speed, and high energy. Designed to maintain grip. When desired they can be slid predictably and smoothly to shed speed. These wheels will not slide right out the box because of their grippy sharp edges. Repeatedly sliding wears down the sharp lips allowing for smoother slides. For a more oriented 70mm wheel check out the Stimulus Freeride wheels. The 4 Presidents Longboard Skateboard Wheels are a popular wheel for speedboarding and technical quicker turning courses requiring the quick acceleration of a small wheel.

LOADED DERVISH REVIEW:

REVIEW!
Loaded has been making some of the most innovative boards around for a couple of years now. The Dervish is the most recent addition to their line.
Like all their boards, the Dervish is built from Bamboo and Epoxy/Glass. Its a totally environmentally friendly board. The Bamboo/Glass construction gives it a really snappy flex. Not bouncy at all — but responsive.
As you can see, the trucks actually mount on the top of the board, dropping through. This lowers the board, making it more stable while carving and ripping your favorite hill, sidewalk, or parking lot. With the cutaway nose and tail, you can run pretty much any size wheel you want and have not worry at all about wheel bite.
The first thing you’d notice if you picked up my setup is how light it is. Even with big wheels, the sucker is light. That’s because the board itself if really light.
Like their other boards, the Dervish comes in a couple of different flexes. A softer flex (Flex 2) for you lightweights, and a harder flex (Flex 1) for bigger guys ( or gals ) :P
How does the Dervish do?
The Dervish is very low and fitted with drop through trucks, which makes it extremely stable and really easy to push. Made out of bamboo this board has wicked flex, which makes you feel at one with the board, and great for pumping. It turns wickedly well, you’ll have no fear of deck or wheel bite, it’s also great for sliding. It certainly gives me a confidence boost when bombing hills, carrying a stability and carve I’m not used to. The Dervish is really the swiss army knife of longboards, anything you want to do on a longboard, the Dervish will do for you.
The Dervish Downsides?
The deck is so low it gets scraped scratched, and clips gutters pretty easy. Also the design on it should be hand painted not printed that would be sick. I’ve honestly tried to think back and see if I could think of any problems or things I could think to make it better, there must have been some great minds behind the making of this board!
The Dervish can easily be used for hills, commuting, tricks and bowl. It’s a commuting extraordinaire, bus companies should not be in business with a board like this on the market. Smooth, stable, agile, all round sick.
You can check out the two Adam’s cutting their stuff on the Dervish here .

The Apex 37 was totally redesigned for its 2011 release. We wanted a board that you could build your quiver around and still come back to as a staple 3 years later. Emphasis was placed on developing technologies that would create a board that had more strength, more durability and better performance than its predecessors. Sporting such radical design upgrades as Quad-axial custom angled fiberglass, Forged Carbon inlays, and hard freeriding rails, the new Apex 37 Carbon is truly the pinnacle of longboard technology.

Increased Stomp Percentage

In addition to the use of advanced composites materials the Apex 37, we increased the concave and camber while also stiffening the deck to open up the next generation of freestyle / freeride possibilities, both on hill, and off. An increase in nose length by .7 inches on either side gives you more leverage to spin (and stomp) your hardest freestyle tricks while counter-sunk mounting brackets make sure your misses don’t thrash your hardware. Hop on the new Apex and feel the difference a longer nose, positive stiffness and exceptional torsional strength can make in your tricks’ stomp percentage.
